About Us

Established in 2021 , Maleny Fig Tree Medical has a team of experienced doctors, two nursing staff with a common philosophy and commitment to Family Medicine.

After founding Fig Tree Medical at 10 Cedar street in Maleny and establishing a culture of quality and true patient care, Dr Peter Wynne has decided it’s time to shift his focus from clinical practice more towards family and personal leisure time. 

The new owner-manager Dr Johan Oelofse is a GP himself and he is passionate about providing quality health-CARE to the Maleny and Hinterland community. He is committed to helping people thrive so as to achieve their best potential all throughout their life’s health journey. 

The new Maleny team consisting of new and familiar faces, professional yet caring people, clinical and business acumen aim to rekindle the patient-doctor relationship. We now have four new doctors that joined the team since January 2022.

All this allowed us to increase our range of services and care whilst increasing our office opening hours to 5 days a week.

Issue or Complaints procedures

Should you want to lodge, address, discuss a complaint or just merely give us some constructive feedback, you have the following options:

  • Discuss it with one of our doctors or practice manager in person.
  • Call the practice on 07 5429 6555 and request to speak to the practice manager regarding a Complaint or Issue (the staff will manage that effectively and confidentially).
